Website terms of use
The rules for using this website: what our content means, what a booking request is, and what we stand behind.
Welcome to the Amped Electrical Contracting website, operated by Amped Electrical Contracting LTD. By using this site, you agree to these terms. If anything is unclear, call us at (250) 882-5282 or email este@ampedelectrical.ca.
Website content is information, not a quote
Everything on this site, including service descriptions, blog posts, resources, and guides, is general information about electrical work in Greater Victoria. It's not professional advice for your specific property and it's not a quote or an offer to perform work at a particular price. Every home and job is different; the only price that binds us is the one we confirm with you in writing before work starts.
Pricing on this site is representative
Prices shown on our pricing page and elsewhere on the site are representative examples of typical jobs. Your actual price depends on your panel, wiring, access, permits, and scope. We confirm the exact price with you before any work begins, and you approve it before we start.
Booking requests are requests
Submitting the online booking form sends us a request for an appointment. It is not a confirmed appointment. Your booking is confirmed only when our office contacts you (by phone, text, or email) and confirms the date and time window. If a requested slot isn't available, we'll offer alternatives. For urgent or emergency work, always call rather than relying on the form.
Membership summary
Our maintenance membership is offered on monthly or annual plans; current pricing is confirmed when you join. Members receive benefits such as priority scheduling, member pricing, and an annual electrical check-up. You can cancel anytime, with no lock-in and no cancellation fee. This is a summary only; the full, current membership terms and benefits are on the membership page, which governs if there's any difference between the two.
Workmanship guarantee
We stand behind our completed work with a one-year workmanship guarantee: if something we installed or repaired fails because of our workmanship, we come back and make it right. The specific guarantee terms for your job are set out in your written quote or invoice. This guarantee covers our workmanship on completed work. It doesn't cover pre-existing conditions, other contractors' work, misuse, or manufacturer defects (those are covered by the manufacturer's warranty, which we'll help you claim).
Limitation of liability for website content
We work hard to keep this website accurate and up to date, but we provide it "as is." To the extent permitted by law, Amped Electrical Contracting LTD is not liable for losses arising from your use of, or reliance on, the content of this website, including acting on general information without having us (or another licensed electrician) assess your specific situation. Nothing on this site replaces an on-site assessment, and nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law. This limitation applies to website content only; work we perform is governed by your service agreement and our workmanship guarantee.
Electrical safety note
Electrical work in British Columbia must be performed by a licensed contractor or under a homeowner permit. Please don't treat anything on this site as instructions for DIY electrical work. If there is smoke or fire, call 911. If something smells hot, sparks or keeps tripping, turn off the breaker if it's safe to reach and call a licensed electrician.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia and the applicable laws of Canada. Any dispute relating to this website will be resolved in the courts of British Columbia.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The version posted here, with its effective date, is the one that applies.
